Chrome Shift is an action game in a retrofuturistic style.
Game developer Artem Sinica showcased a multiperspective system he created for his retrofuturistic action game Chrome Shift, combining top-down and 2.5D gameplay. "Now when you hit a 2.5D section, aiming goes vertical – totally changes gameplay style!"
The 2.5D segments were created using a spline, transforming the character's movement in its direction.
So now controlling the cute pink girl is even more fun. The game, powered by Unity, offers a variety of attacks and dashes for the most satisfying experience. You can see glimpses of the upcoming adventure on X/Twitter.
In the future, we might also see aerial combos and a holographic shader that turns everything into a retro disco party.
