Paid Tutorial on Believable Cinematic Lighting

Jama Jurabaev released a new tutorial pack that will help you achieve believable cinematic lighting.

You scenes might involve tons of light sources, so your render time goes up and it becomes very difficult to make any big changes and experiment with your lighting — that’s when it gets challenging.

The artist developed a technique that allows artists to be less technical with their lighting and as a result, be more creative.

Jurabaev used Octane renderer for these examples, but please note that this technique can also be applied in any other 3D tool.

Includes:

  • 2 hours of video tutorials
  • Octane set-up scenes
  • JPG files

Topics covered:

  • Introduction
  • What makes lighting cinematic?
  • Setting up cinematic light in Octane Standalone
  • Realistic lighting vs creative lighting with textures
  • How far do you need to push your renders
  • Paintover demo  (time-lapsed)

Software:

  • Octane Standalone

You can learn more and get the pack for $30+ here.
