Keijiro Takahashi created a cool visualizer for his practice.
Has your finger drum pad stopped bringing you as much joy as in the past? Maybe you just need a visual stimulus!
Unity developer Keijiro Takahashi demonstrated an awesome visualizer for his music practice, made with the engine. Impressively, it was created without coding, using only the VFX Graph and Input System with a MIDI extension, according to the maker.
The setup for the Yamaha FGDP-30 finger drum reacts to input with different effects, changing depending on the button pressed.
I imagine the VFX can become even more colorful and fun in the future, so follow Takahashi on X/Twitter and check out his other projects, like the animated custom texture RDSystem, the ChatGPT-powered shader generator, and the chatbot integration that lets you control Unity Editor with natural language prompts.
