Check Out An Upcoming Fast-Paced Time Travel Action Game

Back In Time is a WIP Unity project by indie developer Ajesh Nair.

Reddit user AjeshNair_gamedev has presented a trailer for their Unity project named Back In Time, which features an interesting concept. It is a pixelated, fast-paced time travel action adventure where players can travel back to prevent some disasters.

In this trailer, the beginning cutscene features a tick-tock sound to show its strong connection to time. The protagonist travels to Germany in 1940 along with a magic trend. Throughout the gameplay, we can see various mechanics, such as platforming, shooting, motorcycle racing, melee combat, solving puzzles, and more.

"Rewrite history by making critical choices, unraveling mysteries, & manipulating time itself. Explore real-world locations, and uncover secrets in a twist-filled story with evolving gameplay," reads the game's description. As you take on this adventure and progress, you'll be equipped with various new time manipulation abilities, such as rewinding, slowing down, and creating multiple timelines.

The development of Back In Time started around a year and a half ago, with the indie developer taking inspiration from games and movies, including Back to the Future and  Katana Zero. On their YouTube channel, they've showcased the making of some mechanisms, such as creating advanced AI enemies, graphics for a boss battle, character designs and more.

Back In Time will be available on Steam, Xbox, PS5 and Nitendo Switch when it's launched. It doesn't have a release window yet, but the developer plans to wrap up the development in a year or two. If you'd like to follow it up, wishlist the game on Steam and follow the developer on X/Twitter.
