Something truly impressive presented by Andre Sargeant.
Solo game dev Andre Sargeant has showcased an amazing wall interaction system recently added to their high-mobility action game, Withersworn, which is being developed with Unity. The system allows players to dynamically vault, slide, or wall-run on any physical object and even on enemies in the game, bringing immediate Attack on Titan vibes.
This implementation is impressive and prompts interest among the fans. One asked if two players grapple to a building and then launch toward each other, can this new system let them run straight up using each other’s feet, like in those karate movies? Sargeant has given a confirmation answer. "It uses a mix of contextual input, collision checks, and velocity so if you and an enemy both had some upwards momentum you could run up each other until it tapered off."

It's been a while since we last covered progress for Withersworn, so here's a brief recap on its main features and gameplay. Withersworn is set in a surreal, dystopian wasteland world and features an intuitive design. You're one of the elite knights whose main task is to stop the withering of the kingdom's humanity.
You've been powered up by a grapple that will allow you to explore and approach any challenge, and a board that lets you move with greater mobility. Along your journey, various memorable characters will be encountered, giving you an unforgettable experience. It aims to be a unique action game where you'll enjoy a free-flowing immersive experience brought by the combination of speed and style.
There is more gameplay footage shared on social media, which would give us more ideas about the protagonist's skills, mechanics, animations, and more:
