The article describing the method is set to be released this or next week.
Kacper Szwajka, a Technical Artist and Art Director who previously left us in awe by showcasing a neat Unity-powered setup for creating highly-realistic digital grass, has recently shared a couple of impressive sneak peek demos teasing an upcoming project that procgen enthusiasts may find interesting.
According to Kacper, he is currently working on a comprehensive article dedicated to a new method for GPU-boosted run-time procedural placement on terrain in Unity. As shown in the demos, the approach lets the user quickly place myriads of objects, such as trees and bushes, on the terrain, allowing Unity developers and artists to easily populate 3D environments and game levels.
