Wolfenstein: The New Order-Inspired Laser Cutter Effect Made with UE5

Noam Keasar also shared a breakdown of its creation.

Take a look at these captivating laser cutter VFX showcased by Technical Artist Noam Keasar, created with Unreal Engine and Substance 3D Designer.

The artist drew inspiration from Wolfenstein: The New Order. According to Keasar, the project allowed him to explore more complex features of Niagara, such as Grid2D, custom scratch pads, and HLSL integration, as well as creating a ray marching shader. As explained by the author, the cut-out effect was made primarily on a single GPU emitter.

Noam Keasar generously shared a breakdown outlining his steps in creating the cut-out effect and a ray marching shader:

On ArtStation, Noam Keasar shared many amazing projects and technical details of their creation. For example, the artist showcased the Destructible Icicles project, which won third place in the H20 SIDEFX LABS Tech Art Challenge, the Advanced Boids System, and more.
