David Baylis shared a behind-the-scenes video of his final project of the year, Jeep Wrangler in the Canadian Rockies. The project showcases the last tech updates of Unreal Engine, including the Volumetric Cloud system and the Water System, and their performance in the viewport.
Some technical details of the project:
- Sky's made with the Ultra Dynamic Sky plugin
- The scene population is done with Megascans
- Landscape was created with World Creator 2 (Heightmap) and textured inside Unreal using Landscape Auto-Material.
- Car textured with Substance Painter
Fully dynamic, with raytracing shadows, AO, reflections, and translucency running on a single Quadro RTX 6000.
