J. R. Hudepohl has provided an update on Labyrinth Of The Demon King.
In case you missed it, earlier this year, we covered Labyrinth Of The Demon King, an old-school horror game inspired by Feudal Japan, being created by Solo Game Developer J.R. Hudepohl using Unreal Engine, with Top Hat Studios acting as the game's publisher.
Over half a year has gone by since then, and Labyrinth Of The Demon King is now on the verge of its launch. The developer has mentioned that the game is expected to hit the shelves in just a couple of months, around early 2024. Leading up to the release, Hudepohl has unveiled another demo for the game, offering a glimpse of a brand-new type of monster you will encounter that some of you may find familiar.
As shown in the latest demo, Labyrinth Of The Demon King will feature Silent Hill 4-inspired ghosts, which, much like the originals, are not so easily killed. However, the game offers a somewhat more lenient approach, as the items required to repel them are more readily available compared to SH4. Alternatively, players can opt to outpace the ghosts, taking advantage of their slow movement speed. According to the developer, the aim was to replicate the creepiness of Silent Hill 4's ghosts but not their difficulty.
