As Anthony Sauzet shared, the original goal was to create a script that would arrange your nodes in Houdini in a way that's better than the default layout. However, during the brainstorming process, he took a slight detour and ended up creating a script that does organize your nodes, just not in the way expected.
While it might not be practical, it's definitely hilarious. In fact, you could even turn this Python script into a game inside Houdini by adding a bit more functionality to the simulation, like having the nodes fall to the bottom when you cut the wires, piling up, and filling your screen if you add too many. This would make you think more carefully about your decisions before placing a node.
