An upcoming update to Claudio Z.'s DeformableMesh.
Claudio Z. has shared a test of a barrel getting dynamically reshaped by external forces, allowing users to create various procedural effects directly within the editor, making this more accessible and efficient for all models.
This appears to be a new deformer in progress for DeformableMesh, the artist's Godot add-on for deforming 3D meshes using a stack of customizable deformers at runtime. It also lets you futher customize the deformers and provides an example project that showcases the tool's basic functionalities:
