Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Delayed to February 2024

Rocksteady has delayed the release date of the game from May 26, 2023, to February 2, 2024.

Rocksteady's upcoming online co-op action shooter Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been officially delayed from its scheduled May 2023 launch to February 2024.

The developer announced the news on Twitter saying that it has made a "tough but necessary decision" to postpone the release explaining that it needed time to "work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players."

"Thank you to our amazing community for the continued support, patience, and understanding," the statement continued. "There is much more to share in the months ahead and we look forward to seeing you in Metropolis next year."

Rocksteady's four-player co-op action game has been under development for a while and has already faced a few delays. According to a report from Bloomberg last month, the delay of the game was prompted by the negative response to the game's reveal during the State of Play event in February 2023.

However, most recently, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported that the developers of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League were told that the delay was intended to refine the game and not due to the negative feedback on the reveal.

The journalist pointed out that an eight-month delay may not provide sufficient time to overhaul the entire game. Additionally, he emphasized that other factors, such as those related to console manufacturers, could potentially impact the game's release schedule.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now scheduled for the February 2, 2024 release. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
