Player Suggests Solution to Monster Hunter Wilds FSR Frame Generation Issue

It would be nice not to stoop down to unorthodox ways, but oh well.

Capcom

If you're having issues with getting Monster Hunter Wilds to run smoothly, the solution suggested by player IvoryLagiacrus might help you.

The game will be fully released on February 28, but some people were lucky to participate in a beta test. However, the experience might not be as pleasant as you expect, especially from Capcom. Many players suffer from low frames, and if you're one of them, try copy-pasting the AMD .dlls from the Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark to the beta to fix the FSR frame generation.

"I have a RTX 3080, so to enable Frame Gen I used the dlssg-to-fsr3 mod too," IvoryLagiacrus said.

Alas, the game seems to be poorly optimized, and we can only hope Capcom will do something about it before the launch. Other players praised IvoryLagiacrus's solution, noting less ghosting and a more stable performance. If you have an AMD GPU, be warned that this might not work for you, but perhaps there is some other file that needs to be moved. If you find it, let us know.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be out of beta for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28, 2025.
