Painting VR’s multi-user system will enable users to paint together and share their work, information, experience, and inspiration amongst each other.
Back in May, Oisoi Studio has released a new app for Oculus App Lab called Painting VR. This app allows you to become a real painter, learn the basics of colors, the painting process, and composition in VR. After three months, it had over 8000 users from all over the world.
Oisoi Studio has stated that they are planning to implement a multi-user system that enables users to paint together and share their work. By adding this system, Oisoi aims to bring users together in a low-brow international art scene: Painting VR World. It will provide a platform not only for self-expression but education as well: art teachers can use it to hold group classes or one-on-one lessons remotely. The multi-user feature will also enable artists to organize virtual exhibitions or studio visits in virtual reality.
A crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter will launch on 1 September to support the planned release of the simulator in early 2022.
“By implementing the multi-player system, users will not only be able to create and show their work but also to watch that of others, to play together, to learn together, and to share information, experience, and inspiration amongst each other. And they’ll never have to worry about cleaning up afterward,” commented Wim Reygaert, founder of Oisoi.
