Oblivion Remake Might Be Released In Two Days, Rumor Says

Could it be real this time?

Although no official announcement has ever dropped yet, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's remake is a title that has been considered to really exist thanks to information from a few channels, such as a leaked 2020 internal document from Bethesda as well as some information from reliable data miners and gaming outlets' sources.

An earlier report from insider NatetheHate said that it might be available as soon as this month, with the game's official announcement and release coming with a narrow gap, if not minimal.

Adding to this anticipation, a new rumor from Detective Seeds suggests that the remake of the beloved 2006 RPG could be just days away from release. To narrow the timeframe, the game could arrive before the end of next week or as soon as this Thursday.

Notably, it's unclear where this piece of information comes from, whether by insiders who are clear of the project's status or data mining, which is why some fans are skeptical about it. Soon, we'll figure it out.

Oblivion received universal acclaim when it was launched in 2006, but it lasted only a month until the release of the controversial yet profitable Horse Armour DLC. The remake is said to be "fully remade" and has been developed by Virtuos using Unreal Engine 5. Some main gameplay systems, including Stamina, Sneak, Blocking, Archery, Hit Reaction, and HUD, have reportedly been reworked.

If the remake is real and released this year, fans of the franchise will be overly rejoiced as Skyblivion, a fan project that recreates The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion using the Skyrim engine, will also be launched this year.
