Next-Gen Patch for Console Versions of The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Trilogy is Coming in 2025

GSC Game World team shared their plan for the franchise for the next year.

As 2025 is getting closer, it’s time for game developers to think about and share plans for the upcoming new year with their loyal fans. So does the GSC Game World team, who brings exciting news for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise.

The developer surprised fans by announcing the plan for the next-gen patch for the console versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, which includes Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat. The trilogy pack was released on March 7 this year, which was the first time the games were available for console players.

Besdies, they will continue to bring updates to the newly released sequel, with a content roadmap for it to be shared soon at the beginning of next year. Also, updates for PC versions of the original games are also in their plan.

This announcement came after the first major update, Patch 1.1, for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, fixing over a whopping 1,800 issues. This is due to the fact that the developers were too exhausted after many years of working on the game; and instead of delaying the game launch and correcting the issues during the intense crunch period, they decided to release the game and do the bug fixes following.

Speaking of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise, it’s said that Maksym Krippa, the developer’s owner, has been in talks with Netflix to bring this FPS survival franchise to the TV screen.
