Check out this captivating 3D animation of a Geely Starray SUV slowly appearing out of Tron-style glowing curves, set up by an aspiring Digital Artist and Animator known as Smorali. According to the artist, they dedicated two full days to camera work and employed Houdini for the animation and Redshift for rendering. This project marks Smorali's first animation using SideFX's procedural 3D software, which they are exploring through a radical method that involves using Houdini to handle every task possible.
"I selected out curves from the car model and animated them, which gives me the first part, the second one, where the wireframe comes up, orange, is basically the whole car just messed around with material, opacity and wireframe, and emission. Lastly scaling all the primitives individually to get the full car," commented the creator on the working process behind the project.
