We'll hear more about the long-awaited iOS version of ZBrush next Tuesday, the team's cryptic trailer suggests.
Software developer Maxon has recently released a new cryptic trailer on Twitter, suggesting that a huge announcement pertaining to the long-awaited iPad version of ZBrush, a renowned 3D sculpting application, is going to be shared in less than a week.
In and of itself, the 20-second trailer offers little concrete information, showcasing about a dozen CG projects while teasing that "a few clues about next week's announcement(s)" can be found within. Fans were quick to point out that the upcoming reveal will likely center on the highly anticipated iOS version of ZBrush and might also introduce enhanced particle and caustics simulation/rendering tools to Maxon's other applications.
The one detail Maxon decided not to keep cryptic is the forthcoming announcement's reveal date, which is set for next Tuesday, September 10. While it can't be confirmed at the moment, it appears that Maxon may either announce the release date for ZBrush on iPad or launch the application entirely. Either way, it's an event that 3D Sculptors won't want to miss.
First announced in October 2023, ZBrush for iPad is set to introduce a fully reimagined user interface and touch-based controls tailored for tablet use. Since the initial reveal, the developers have been gradually showcasing the app's interface and features, along with stunning 3D sculpts created by Digital Artists who have been fortunate enough to get access to the program's beta version.
