Lance Snider shared his Rive experiments.
Artist and game developer Lance Snider has demonstrated his success in turning illustrations into an interactive storybook using Rive, a design and animation app, Procreate, and some JavaScript.
With the parallax effect and numerous elements that react to your touch, this project will be fascinating for both kids and adults. The town in this "oil painting come to life" is full of life and interesting little details, moving and changing as you tilt the screen.
We have previously seen Rive in action with a lava cube that looks like a 3D object and an indie Metroidvania-style adventure.
Rive is available for free with limitations, at $24/month for a Pro version, and $32 for teams.
