Players will recognize familiar faces.
League of Legends has collaborated with Linkin Park to create the game's 2024 anthem called Heavy Is The Crown. The best part? It now has an absolutely epic music video featuring the band and some well-known LoL players animated in Arcane style by Brunch Studio.

Despite many LP fans complaining about its new member, Emily Armstrong's stellar performance and lengthy scream were noted by audiences, even those who were skeptical about her place in the band.

As usual, the video has tons of references that League of Legends fans will find fascinating. I don't play the game, so thank you, Esports.gg, for bringing them up. As clear from the name of the song, famous players fight for the crown of the champion. You can see Oner, GALA, Zika, Ruler, Faker, Xiaohu, Weiwei, TheShy, Crisp, Zeus, Bin, Massu, Brance, Caps, Chovy, Gumayusi, and Keria dressed as champions from the game, showing off some cool moves.

"The 2024 Worlds Music Video envisions renowned League of Legends pro player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok as a newly crowned king as he battles a legion of aspiring rulers who arrive on his doorstep. Through the story of a warrior fighting to protect a kingdom under siege, the video honors Faker and T1’s victory at Worlds 2023 while embodying the powerful spirit of League players. It also celebrates the rich history of kingdoms and dynasties in London, where the Worlds Finals will take place on November 2, 2024."

There are plenty of elements players will recognize, including game-making moments and a hug between Gumayusi and Keria after T1 won last year's Worlds.
