Learn How To Make Blender Holograms With 3D Gaussian Splats

Check out Blue Nile 3D's cool skeleton.

3D Artist Blue Nile 3D, the creator of the auto-rigging tool Lazy Bones, showcased a curious hologram-looking skeleton made with 3D Gaussian Splats, exploring KIRI Engine's 3DGS add-on for Blender.

In fact, it's 2 splats on top of each other. Using the add-on and a skeleton 3D model from Z-Anatomy, a free and open-source anatomy project, the artist brought these locally trained models in Blender and discovered putting a light inside makes them glow.
