Jesse Pitela Releases New Niagara Fluids Tutorial for Unreal Engine 5.5

Learn how to make awesome effects.

If you don't know where to start with Unreal Engine 5.5 or its Niagara VFX system specifically, don't worry: Jesse Pitela, a seasoned artist, is here to help with his new tutorial.

He will teach you how to use Niagara Fluids to create an epic missile swarm VFX – a burst of fireworks falling in a bright rain.

At the end of the 10-minute tutorial, you'll get a real-time volumetric simulation. Starting from a particle setup, you'll move to the Niagara Fluids smoke, making it as detailed as possible. After tuning the fire, you'll get to improve the simulation and make some volumetric lighting adjustments.

If you are happy with the result, Pitela has a free Niagara Fluids Crash Course, which also covers portals and water effects.

Pitela is a talented VFX artist our readers know very well, so you'll definitely be in capable hands. You might have seen his beautiful liquids with changing colors, growing plants made with Unreal Engine's Motion Design, amazing attraction manipulation, realistic rockfall simulation, and much more.
