JD Fenix Actor Hints at Gears of War 6 News in June

It's been 5 years since Gears of War 5, and fans are eagerly awaiting the continuation of the popular series. Earlier this month, a rumor about the Gears 6 reveal at Xbox Summer Showcase 2024 in June was born, and it seems like it's not that far-fetched.

Liam McIntyre, the actor behind JD Fenix, fueled players' interest with his recent tweet. Replying to a question about JD's death in Gears 5, he said: "I have no idea. I think Gears of War tells us all in June," which solidified some people's conviction that the next game in the series will be unveiled at the event.

Fans went crazy in the comments, hoping this really means a new chapter of the shooter. Some hope to see JD as the protagonist, others doubt it will happen.

This subtle hint reinforces Jeff Grubb's and The Verge's earlier claims. "Microsoft is currently planning to announce a new Gears of War game at [Xbox Summer Showcase 2024]. A Gears announcement won’t be the only new Xbox game at the show, which will also include release dates for upcoming Xbox games like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and of course, a new Call of Duty that’s set to debut later this year," said The Verge's Tom Warren.
