iRender: A GPU-Accelerated Cloud Render Farm for OctaneRender

Check out this amazing render farm made by the iRender team and speed up your Octane workflow.

OctaneRender is one of the most popular choices when it comes to rendering engines as it can be integrated easily across multiple software as well as libraries of materials. It can deliver much higher quality and speed than most production renderers on the market.

Due to machine learning optimizations, out-of-core geometry support, and massive 10-100x speed gains in the scene graph as well as RTX raytracing GPU hardware acceleration, OctaneRender can significantly speed up the workflow. In addition, you can run Octane in the cloud making it possible to integrate the renderer into the creative process across multiple industries like feature films, commercials, and even architecture.

OctaneRender supports all major platforms including Windows 7 or higher, Linux, and macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. However, if you want the renderer to deliver the best quality and speed possible, your computer needs to be powerful enough.

OctaneRender requires the latest CUDA 10 drivers and a CUDA-enabled NVIDIA video card with support for compute capability 3.0 or higher. For Octane Version 3.03.2 or higher, you'll need to have NVIDIA GTX Titan X, GTX 1080, or GTX 1070, and for Octane Version 3.08 or higher, Octane NVIDIA RTX or NVIDIA Titan V would be recommended.

If your computer does not meet these requirements, there is a solution – you can use a render farm. A render farm is a massive collection of machines that work together to render your 3D frames. By using the power of render farms, your 3D projects can effortlessly meet deadlines set the next week or even the next day. What usually takes days if you try to render on your computer can be completed in just hours using a render farm.

If you're looking for a superb solution for OctaneRender, iRender Render Farm can be a perfect choice.

Core Features:

  • iRender offers a render farm based on the model of IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service). It allows you to rent the GPUs and CPUs on the cloud for 3D rendering.
  • On iRender server, you can install and set up your working environment just once. All of your data and installed software/applications will be stored after each use and ready to use anytime. They also have many options for you to switch between configuration packages without setting up your working environment again, ensuring optimal cost for each project.
  • All of iRender's GPUs are RTX 3090, which is presently one of the most powerful GPU types available, with robust heavy-duty processors having multiple cores and high clock speed to support the heaviest workload.

iRender also provides a wide variety of packages with powerful CPU & GPU ranging from single- GPU 1x RTX 3090 to Multi-GPU 2/4/6/8 x RTX 3090. You can choose any type of server that is suitable for your demand. Besides, iRender offers the powerful processor AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3955WX @ 3.90GHz and 512 GB – 2 TB SSD which helps load Octane scenes quickly.

iRender OctaneRender servers cost from $7.2 to $28 for node (machine) per hour and support all 3D software that use Octane Render for rendering (including Cinema 4D, Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Unity, Daz Studio, and more). Additionally, iRender offers Octane License for its Prime customers.

If you are using OctaneRender Enterprise, you can choose packages ranging from 4/6/8 RTX 3090. iRender recommends that you can even start with lower servers first to try the render farm out, and then you can switch to higher servers. You can easily change the server with just a few clicks, and all your work environments will still be saved and loaded.

For the OctaneRender Studio license, which just works on a 2 GPU limit, you can try the server package with 2x RTX 3090 and the CPU is AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3955WX. This server will help you maximize your rendering performance. Besides, on-demand NVLink will help you double the amount of VRAM to 48 GB which is powerful enough for very large projects/cache.

All information on the server configuration is publicly posted on the iRender website. You can know exactly what the server specification contains, the type of CPU and GPU it has, and its cost as well. You may visit iRender Servers for more information about their machines.
