Intel claims they developed the most powerful chips for desktop PCs.
Intel has announced its 14th-generation processors and shared prices for different models. It appears that the prices won't change compared to previous-generation CPUs.
Sales of the Intel 14th-generation processors will begin on October 17 – the company shared the info in a press release. Intel has also shared a table comparing key specifications of the processors from the Raptor Lake Refresh family. It reveals that the flagship Core i9-14900K chip will have a frequency of 6 GHz with Thermal Velocity Boost acceleration – Intel claims they developed the most powerful chip for desktop PCs.

All new processors use the LGA 1700 socket and are compatible with Intel 600 and 700 series motherboards. The i9-14900K is said to be 23% faster than the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D in Starfield at 1080p resolution and 54% faster when multitasking in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Here come the prices. The 14-core Intel Core i5-14600K will be available for $319, the 20-core i7-14700K for $409, and the 24-core i9-14900K for $589. The most affordable model is the i5-14600KF without integrated graphics which will be priced at $294.
