FX Artist and CG Generalist Hoang Nguyen showcased this amazing water visualization created with Houdini, Karma XPU, and Nuke.
Sea waves look incredibly lifelike, fascinating the viewers with dynamic motion, realistic physics, and transparent blue and turquoise shades. Hoang Nguyen shared some technical details of its creation. Thus, the artist used the Wetmap to add extra water sliding on the rock, as its surface was already wet the whole time. This technique helped achieve a smooth transition between the water and stone, adding graphic fidelity to the scene. As for the rock itself, it is a photogrammetry model, which ensures its authentic texture and structure.
