Helldivers 2 has become a huge hit since its launch on February 8, 2024. So popular that some games are even trying to imitate Arrowhead's shooter to have a slice of Helldivers 2's success.
Speaking of which, a Twitter user who goes by the name of Wario64 noticed that at least two games changed their names to Helldivers 2 and put a 50/75% discount to confuse the players and make some cash. The studios even changed the developer and publisher to hide the footprints of the actual games.
The original game from Arrowhead isn't on sale, it's just a scam. If you're curious about which games are fooling people, here they are: Do Not Smile, developed by Fest Studio, and Figurality by Bside Studio. You can see the real evidence on SteamDB.
Even though a bunch of games were trying to do the same with Palworld, Valve has already taken some measurements, so we probably won't find out about the scammers now.
If you haven't yet played Helldivers 2, make sure to check the release date of this hit shooter before buying it, which is February 8, 2024, and remember that the game is not on sale yet.
