Game of Thrones' Jon Snow Recreated in 3D Using ZBrush

Sherif Dawoud crafted this amazing portrait.

Senior Environment Artist and Digital Sculptor Sherif Dawoud showcased this gorgeous take on Jon Snow, one of the beloved characters from the Game of Thrones epic saga.

The artist accurately recreated the appearance of Kit Harington, who portrayed the King in the North, crafting lifelike skin, hair, lively eyes, and a facial expression.

The portrait was sculpted and painted in ZBrush and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 5 with ray tracing, with a quick texture pass in Substance 3D Painter for Roughness Map. The artist explained that hair, beard, and fur were made in Blender using Geometry Nodes, while the armor was roughly sculpted in ZBrush and detailed with a few Triplanar materials in Marmoset.

Recently, Sherif Dawoud joined 80 Level's 10th-anniversary celebration to discuss the game industry's evolution. The artist has created many amazing artwork, which we covered before, including this high-quality hand-study, an atmospheric environment inspired by The Witcher, charming 3D dioramas, and more.
