Forewarned, A Phasmophobia-like Indie Co-op Horror, Fully Launches

Experience unique afterlife mechanics in Forewarned where upon death, you have the option to return as a servant of the mummies haunting the tombs of ancient Egyptian ruins.

After nearly three years in Early Access, the indie co-op survival horror game Forewarned has finally achieved its full launch. This release brings with it what the developers describe as their "most ambitious" update yet.

Forewarned, bearing similar gameplay to the popular game Phasmophobia, invites you into ancient Egyptian ruins as part of an archaeological team. Your objective is to investigate mysterious phenomena, discover treasures, unravel lore, and ultimately banish the terrifying entity that haunts the tomb.

In the immersive world of Forewarned, the gameplay is a blend of exploration and survival. You can venture solo or team up with friends to identify the mummy, haunting the ruins, and access the tomb's innermost chamber. Retrieving the sacred relic and other treasures inside the ruins is your ultimate goal, but be prepared for a journey fraught with danger.

The cursed Mejai, evil mummies that populate these tombs, will physically manifest to hinder your escape. Each Mejai is endowed with unique characteristics and abilities that you must overcome to escape with your life.

The game's environment, set in vividly detailed maps across the Sahara, offers nearly infinite layout possibilities and ensures each playthrough is a new experience.

Forewarned also redefines the concept of death in gaming. If you die, you have the option to return as a servant of the Mejai. You can choose to retain a semblance of your former self and help the remaining survivors or pledge loyalty to your new master.

With the 1.0 release of Forewarned now live, it introduces a new Mejai, new maps, tomb variations, and a reworked ritual, among other features.

The game has already received a 'very positive' rating on Steam based on over 4200 reviews. To mark the full launch, Forewarned is available at a 40% discount until May 10th. If you missed the game during its Early Access stage, now is the perfect time to get it.
