Check out Milo, a solo-developed passion project by Spencer Sharp inspired by classic zombie games.
This indie horror title takes place in a World War II post-apocalypse ruled by Milo, the leader of a bizarre nightmare cult that worships a mysterious beverage. The player awakens with no memory, armed with a gun, trapped in a grimy prison, and hunted by crazed followers.
In Milo, your goal is to survive as long as possible while saving the rats tortured by the cultists. You'll need to use the corpses of fallen enemies to strengthen your party and keep going longer. Along the way, you can uncover secrets and take on challenges, like the "Basketball" mini-game, which rewards you with permanent rats.
You can also explode cultist corpses to turn the dead against their twisted leader. As you progress, you'll build and command an army of rats that can damage enemies and feast on their bodies to boost your abilities. To make your experience more fun and unique, you can drink from the Cream Machine to shape your character and rats to match your playstyle. And don't forget to blow up corpses to get rare items.
