Escape From Tarkov Dev Apologizes for PvE's Situation & Promises to Fix It

The studio COO says Edge of Darkness owners will eventually get the PvE mode for free.

Battlestate Games, the developer of the popular hardcore tactical shooter Escape From Tarkov, has issued an apology regarding the controversy surrounding the Unheard Edition and its PvE mode.

The PvE mode was originally exclusive to the $250 Unheard Edition, which sparked backlash from the community, especially among owners of the Edge of Darkness edition who were promised access to all future DLC.

The studio COO Nikita Buyanov stated that PvE access will eventually be granted to all Edge of Darkness owners for free, although this will be delayed due to server capacity constraints.

"First of all, I would like to say that I am very sorry that fans and the game community in general are experiencing these feelings," Buyanov wrote on Reddit. " Unfortunately, I somehow did not foresee the fact of such a reaction and now I have drawn conclusions for my future decisions."
