Epic Unreal Engine 5 & Houdini Water Dragon Cinematic

Mikkel Lassalle presented his new fantastic work.

This beautiful dragon-themed cinematic is a passion project of Mikkel Lassalle, who combined the capabilities of Unreal Engine and Houdini's FLIP fluids, while Hamed Golchin contributed to by handling the music, sound effects, and sound design.

The entire environment was rendered inside Unreal Engine 5, and Mikkel Lassalle included all the technical details, like render time and simulation time, in the video description. The main FLIP simulation required 20 hours, with meshing taking 28 hours, and both Whitewater Source and Solver took 4 hours each.

Regarding particle count, the main FLIP consists of 23 million particles, while the Whitewater Solver has 25 million particles. Finally, rendering with Mantra required 2-4 minutes per frame, averaging 11 hours per sequence.
