Environment Artist Demonstrates Custom Procedural Tools Made in Houdini

Created by Dmitrii Rychkov for his WIP Unreal Engine project.

Lead 3D Environment Artist Dmitrii Rychkov has demonstrated how procedural workflows can enhance his chosen branch of digital art, showcasing a couple of neat procedural tools he prepared for his WIP personal project.

Set up in Houdini to be used in Unreal Engine, the tools enable the artist to set up and customize brick walls and ivy in just a few clicks, which can then be easily integrated into UE-powered 3D scenes. "At this stage, I'm focusing on building basic shapes and experimenting with simple transformations," comments Dmitrii. "SideFX's learning resources have been a huge help, and it's always exciting to bring something of my own into the process."
