Pulsatrix Studios has shared more footage from A.I.L.A.
A.I.L.A is a surreal first-person game developed by Pulsatrix Studios that blends survival horror, psychological horror, and action horror. We covered it back in November. Recently, the team has shared more footage on social media, giving us insights into the environment, mechanisms, levels, puzzles and more. We can't wait to share them with you.
If you missed our earlier coverage, you take on the role of the only game tester for a revolutionary new fictional AI, who tries to survive in various horror experiences that prey on your darkest fears. "Evade and outrun a ritualistic cult, solve gruesome puzzles, engage in visceral combat against the medieval undead and more." Once A.I.L.A. collects your feedback, fears, and thoughts, she will bring new and probably more scarier haunting experiences for you.
The most recent clip shows 15 seconds captured in a scene, where you walk through a village with unsettling feelings. The sky looms dark and gloomy. The ground, uneven and muddy, is wet because of the rain. Some areas of the pit appear to be bloody. In the distance, you can see black smoke rising from a dead fire, and a flock of crows circles in the sky. All you can hear is your footsteps. It is eerily silent.
Similar to this one, another clip shows you walking upstairs and checking around a torn, dark cabin, wondering if there is anybody here:
You're lucky not to encounter a real person after opening four consecutive doors here, but the mannequin, whose face was towards you when you first entered the room, creepily follows your direction as you walk away and turn around.
There seem to be some puzzles to resolve in the game, such as finding a way out or checking someone's mouth; maybe some hints you need are (weirdly) hidden there. A distraction from cutting meat will make you see something really... out of the ordinary.
A.I.L.A is coming later this year, with its release date to be announced later. If you're a big fan of horror games, don't hesitate to add it to your wishlist on Steam and follow the development team on social media to receive future updates.
