Digital Artist Achieves Pixelated Perfection With This 3D Rainy Scene

Maciej Drabik's recent Blender-made masterpiece looks anything but 3D.

Digital Artist and Animator Maciej Drabik has once again showcased his ability to blend pixel art with 3D techniques, unveiling a remarkable new masterpiece that, at first glance, could easily be mistaken for a 2D illustration.

Dubbed Rainy Autumn Nights, the artwork in question presents a stylized interpretation of New York City, combining the Big Apple's bustling streets and recognizable architecture with breathtaking lighting, rain effects, and retro aesthetic, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind art piece one could marvel at for hours. While the animation might appear purely 2D due to its pixelated art style, it is, in fact, created in 3D using Blender, a popular open-source 3D software that can handle modeling, texturing, rendering, animation, and VFX-related tasks.

And here are some more of the artist's glorious projects, you can check out the full portfolio by visiting Maciej's Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and ArtStation pages:
