DevGAMM Gdańsk 2025: Insights from the Event

On February 27-28, the third edition of the international game development conference DevGAMM took place in Poland at Amber Expo.

With the support of InvestGDA and AmberExpo, the main theme of the event was "The Future of Game Development", highlighting this year's market perspectives.

With 620 attendees from 35 countries, the third DevGAMM in Gdańsk welcomed nearly 60% first-timers who had never been to the event before, and 61% of attendees came from Poland.

The event kicked off with an inspiring speech by DevGAMM CEO Maria Chyrvona and Mr. Piotr Grzelak, Deputy President of Gdańsk, who emphasized the growing importance of the game industry to the region. It smoothly transitioned into talks by top industry professionals:

  • Monika Chmura, Lead Combat Designer, Bloober Team
  • Thomas Frøhlich, Director of Game Design, SYBO
  • Sho Stilo, Riot Games
  • Maria Mazur, Quest Designer, CD PROJEKT RED
  • Łukasz Łukasik, Tools Director, Techland
  • Vladimir Gaidenko, Associate Lead Scripter, Larian Studios

At the same time with speeches in Scorewarrior and tinyBuild Hall, engaging workshops were held, dedicated exclusively to hands-on, practical masterclasses led by some of the industry’s finest:

  • Gabby Llanillo, PUBG
  • Rami Ismail
  • Stanislav Mishchenko, 11 bit studios
  • Michal Korek, Ten Square Games
  • Elena Dimopoulou, Epic Games

Engage! with Publishers and Investors was a huge hit at DevGAMM. This activity gave game developers the unique opportunity to present their games directly to professionals who discussed potential publishing opportunities.

The Public Pitch, hosted by Rami Ismail, was a highly productive session filled with insights and valuable feedback. A huge congratulations to Paweł Jarosz, who pitched Witchcrafter: Empire Legends!
