This 32.5-hour tutorial covers all essential steps.
FastTrack released a huge new course on how professional artists create environments for games. The tutorial covers a number of topics including modular modeling, procedural texturing, high to low poly modeling, sculpting, composition, level art, lighting, and more.
The author noted that all the modeling in the course is done in Maya but the techniques can be used in any other 3D modeling package. Sculpts are done with ZBrush and the materials are created are Substance Designer, previewed in Toolbag 4. The final scene is assembled and rendered with the brand-new Unreal Engine 5 using the new Lumen system. Substance Painter is used to generate masks.
The course features over 32.5 hours of content with a few small-time lapses but most of the process is covered in real-time. There is an un-time lapsed footage without audio.
Please note that the tutorial is perfect for students who have experience with Maya, Substance Designer/Painter, ZBrush, and Unreal Engine, so everything is explained in detail.
