However, it doesn't mean it's happening.

Holly Longdale, the Vice President and Executive Producer of World of Warcraft, recently had a chance to chat with VGC and share what it's like to be part of Microsoft after the big acquisition.

"If anything, it's just been helpful," Longdale touched upon the acquisition topic. "We got time with Helen Chang from Mojang, and we were sharing information, so it's almost as if we have access to what worked for them, we got to speak to the Elder Scrolls Online team and share what we're up to and what's been working, it's almost like we get a benefit."

She continued that Microsoft is very supportive of their teams, allowing Blizzard to "be Blizzard," which is great news since freedom in creative development is always crucial.

Longdale also talked about World of Warcraft coming to consoles. However, it seems that nothing is coming in the near future, since for now, it's all just the talk stage.

"Of course, we still talk about it. We're gamers, I don't think anything is out of the realm of possibility, but we don't have anything to talk about right now."

Speaking of the game, recently the developer announced that the highly anticipated World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic expansion of Blizzard's legendary MMORPG is on the horizon. For more information, you can check out our recent article.
