April 22, 2025.
Following months of rumors, speculations, insider reports, leaks, data-mining discoveries, and "accidental slip-ups" made by the Xbox Support team, Bethesda has finally confirmed the existence of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
Announced via the studio's social media channels, the long-awaited remaster is set to premiere tomorrow, April 22, 2025, at 11 AM ET. As of now, it's unclear whether the game will be released, shown off in a trailer, or something else entirely, but there's a real possibility it could launch immediately, making it one of, if not the most significant shadow-drop in gaming history.
Earlier today, leaker Kran27 revealed Oblivion Remastered is going to have a file size of 120GB – around 22 times larger than the original's 5.52GB (Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles included). What's more, over the weekend, the community uncovered what appears to be the SteamDB page for Oblivion Remastered, which currently displays a mostly empty page.
