Artist Shows Off Smooth Blender Transitions Made for Gorillaz Song

"My mama said to slow down."

It's always awesome to see music inspire artists to create something truly fascinating, especially if it's done well, like Xavier Jack's visualization of the song 19-2000 by Gorillaz.

He transformed some of the lyrics into animations with insanely smooth transitions using Blender's Geometry Nodes – a fine companion of many impressive creations. As a bonus, you get to see the behind-the-scenes of this little music video with all its lines and geometry.

Xavier is a treasure trove of creative ideas: he brought the Wiggle Bones plug-in to browsers and enabled real-time hand-tracking on the web. These and other experiments can be found on his X/Twitter, you should definitely visit it.
