Art Dump: Great Arcane-Related Projects

Let's take a look at some fantastic 3D artworks related to the Arcane animated series.

Arcane, Netflix's animated series based on the League of Legends, has taken the Internet by storm thanks to the show's immense quality. Arcane has managed to prove that it is indeed possible to create a great series based on a video game. Therefore, it is not surprising that it inspired hundreds of artists to produce great artworks based on the show and its characters.

In this article, we decided to collect some of these artworks to help inspire others. Let's have a look!

We'll start with an amazing Jinx portrait made by a Chinese 3D Artist Michael Mao.

Up next, check out this 3D-printable Viktor bust, created in ZBrush by 3D Artist Gabriel Freire.

Here's another version of Jinx created by a 3D Artist known as Prod. The author has used ZBrush for sculpting and rendering, 3DCoat for hand-painting, and GIMP for compositing.

But is Arcane is loved not only for its characters. Here's 3D Artist Rafael Teixeira's take on Jayce Hammer, made in Maya and Substance 3D Painter.

"I tried to replicate it as much as I could, given the limited references. This is a game-ready asset, since I put into practice the high-to-low workflow, by baking the mesh maps of the high poly mesh into the low poly mesh," comments the author.

And here is ZUG ZUG's version of the BOOM Grenade, made using ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag, Blender, and 3DCoat.

Also, check out this cool pre-Arcane fan art of Jinx created by Senior Character Artist Dario Furlan Dantert in ZBrush.

Here are some cool concepts of VI, that could have been used had she been added to Arcane. The first one belongs to a former Senior Concept Artist at Riot Games Zeronis.

And this one is by Art Director at Phoenix Labs Daniel Orive.

And finally, here's a fantastic JINX | ENEMY project created by Tatiana Demakina in ZBrush and Marmoset Toolbag. You can learn more about the project and how it was made by reading our interview with Tatiana.
