Aircraft & Gameplay From a WIP Pixelated Military-Themed Indie Game

Jan Orszulik has showcased stunning visuals and mechanisms from Precursor.

Jan Orszulik is an indie game developer from the Czech Republic who's working on various projects. Recently, he showcased some footage of one of the projects, Precursor.

Developed using a self-developed engine, Precursor has a pixelated graphic and seems to fall into military-themed side-scrolling action games with bullet hell elements. The most recent clip features Specter-X1, an impressive aircraft that is the first to "wield energy weapons and harness engines powered by reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology."

The game features an Overlay mode. When you hover your mouse over a missile in the mode, it shows information about its tracking capabilities and guidance type. Overlay mode also offers a tactical pause, which allows you to assess the situation and designate missile targets.

Now that we don't have an official page where game details are listed, we could dive into its gameplay and features through the demos on social media, giving us chances to look at the various aircraft, the atmosphere, combats, satisfying explosions and more:

At this moment, the game is not yet available for wishlist on the storefront; however, the developer will set up a Steam page once a proper trailer is made, and an Epic Games Store link might be released later. If you're interested in learning more about it, don't hesitate to follow the developer on Twitter so you don't miss any future updates.
