Made by Konrad Hetko with Maya, Substance 3D Painter, and Unreal Engine.
Konrad Hetko, a brilliant 3D Character Artist whose realistic portraits you all know and love, continues expanding his portfolio with a new outstanding piece, paying tribute to a renowned contemporary high fantasy and sci-fi author, Brandon Sanderson.
This time, the creator presented an incredibly lifelike 3D take on Shallan Davar, one of the main protagonists of Sanderson's epic fantasy series, The Stormlight Archive. To set up the portrait, the artist utilized a sizeable list of software that includes Maya, ZBrush, Blender, Substance 3D Painter, Marvelous Designer, and Unreal Engine, as well as Ornatrix, employed to recreate the character's wavy, auburn-red hairstyle.
Earlier, Konrad also showcased great 3D models of Ashley Johnson's Yasha Nydoorin from Critical Role's Mighty Nein series and Sasha Yakovleva, a blink-and-you-miss-her character from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Just last week, the artist also joined 80 Level to discuss the work behind Steel Inquisitor from the Mistborn series, his views on its anatomy, and the texturing done for the character. You can check out the full interview by clicking this link.
