Nutty Dungeons is almost ready for beta.
It just makes my day to watch a game reveal trailer from an indie developer — a cute, stylized character from a dungeon crawler game, with cute animation, fun gameplay, and an in-game editor, what else could one ask for?
Cadet's WIP project is called Nutty Dungeons, a cartoony 3D action platformer where you make and play 3D dungeons using its fully-featured level editor. It offers more than 50 cartoony parts that players can use to create personalized action platforming challenges, or you can enjoy levels created by other kobolds around the world.
Everything you see in the clip and what you'll play were made in the game itself. As showcased, the protagonist Rudy, a semi-professional dungeon tester, couldn't get the gate open to access the treasures after a few attempts with his sword. Simply go to the editor to place a pressure plate in the front area, connect it to the gate, and set the gate to react (open) when the plate is pressed. Done! Now, try again and see the magic of Rudy jumping onto it to unlock the gate. It's hilarious to see Rudy sitting on a chair while watching you create gameplay.

The Steam page description says that the powerful and intuitive 3D level editor lets you bring parts together to make traps, puzzles, machines, or pandemonium. Once you finish some levels, you can publish them to the Steam Workshop and share them with your friends.
Nutty Dungeons is available for wishlist on Steam, and after a few years of development, almost alone, Cadet said it's almost ready for beta. If you don't want to miss it, follow the developer on X/Twitter to stay tuned.
