Ghost Lake
Created by Mark Carier.
Ghost Lake began as a personal project, inspired by Wayfinder, to refine Unreal Engine material skills, starting with an ice material and evolving into a full environment with foliage, wind effects, and height-blended snow. What started as a small challenge grew into a more complex project, thanks to valuable feedback from Tim Simpson, Andy Kreutzer, Jeff Horal, Esteban Chaidez, and Ranko Prozo.

Temple Courtyard
Created by Ezgi Erdemir.
Temple Courtyard was a personal project undertaken to master the 3D game art pipeline. Previously limited to singular models, the goal was to improve modeling, sculpting, texturing, and set dressing while learning Unreal Engine. Inspired by the tranquil Todoroki Fudōson Buddhist temple in Tokyo, the aim was to create a serene in-game environment. All assets were modeled in Blender and sculpted in ZBrush, with textures created in Substance Painter and Designer. Animations, including cloth simulations and lantern effects, were implemented in Unreal Engine using Blueprints. The scene incorporates volumetric fog and dynamic weather effects for an immersive atmosphere.
