Marvelous Designer is a great tool for creating 3D clothes. Not only does it let you easily make patterns and add subtle details to clothing but also it offers the tools for modular design, cloth simulation, and animation. These excellent tutorials will help you start with the software or understand it better if you've already tried it.

The first tutorial in our list covers all the tools you will need to work in Marvelous Designer and shows how to model a t-shirt. In this video, 3D Artist and Educator Abraham Leal shows the basics of Marvelous Designer and teaches how to create a t-shirt and a pillow. Note that this is a preview of a course that you can find on Udemy. It's still pretty informative, but be warned. The full course will teach you how to create different types of garments, understand the principles of tailoring, and render shots of your final clothes.

Marvelous Designer 10 Beginners Tutorial with a little extra by 3DMegaverse

In this hour-long tutorial, you will quickly learn how to draw out and adjust patterns, sew them together, adjust the fit and correct errors, add thickness at the edges, texture, and add stitches. 

Getting Started with Marvelous Designer by Z Interactive

Z Interactive provides bite-sized videos in the extensive Marvelous Designer course. Moreover, the author shares source materials, which you can download and practice with in your free time.

Marvelous Designer Retopology Tutorial by WisEngineering

Let's move on to more specific guides. Here, WisEngineering will walk you through a step-by-step workflow of Designer's retopology feature introduced in MD9. The creator mentions that with it, simulated garments can be quickly transformed into game-friendly topology using symmetrical workflow, allowing for better mesh control while skinning, rigging, and optimizing geometry. It might not be the freshest tutorial, but it can still teach you how to deal with retopology. 

Tips and Tricks - Threading Fabric through OBJ Mesh by Marvelous Designer

We usually begin with official YouTube channels, but this one has a ton of short tutorials focused on specific topics, so it's hard to choose one. Our advice is to start with this one, where you'll see how to put fabrics through a mesh, and then check out every other video.

How to Make Furniture with Marvelous Designer – Beginner Tutorial by Poliigon

So far, we've talked about making clothes, but maybe you want to use Marvelous Designer for something else, like furniture. Then, this tutorial is for you. Poliigon will teach you how to make a Husk chair using Marvelous Designer and Blender.

How to Quickly Create Clothing using Blender and Marvelous Designer by Martin Klekner
