Requirements

  • 3-5 years of working experience as a technical artist (or industry equivalent) programming/scripting tools.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a digital art content creation pipeline, ideally, but not necessarily in the video game industry.
  • A strong ability to think creatively and overcome technical challenges.
  • Experiences using the following software, tools are preferred: Unreal/UnityMaya/Blender/3D MaxSubstance DesignerGeneral AutomationShaders (Setup or authoring)PerforcePython (or C, C++, C#, etc)
  • English communication skills are preferred but not required.

Technical Artist at Mindwalk Studios

As a technical artist, you will develop tools and scripts to aid art asset creation and optimization. You will also help artists prepare art assets for game systems and engines to ensure that our client’s technical requirements are met.

  • 3-5 years of working experience as a technical artist (or industry equivalent) programming/scripting tools.

Senior Technical Artist at Mindwalk Studios

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Artist to join our company. As a Senior Technical Artist, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to our growing team of TAs, solving complex technical problems, overseeing the technical aspects of our projects, and ensuring that our client’s quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • At least 20 years of experience in the game, animation, or VFX industry, with at least 10 years’ experience in games, fulfilling a technical role
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, ideally Python
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, such as the command line, batch scripting & general troubleshooting. Familiarity with how drivers, networking, the registry, and services work
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard software and tools, such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter, and Unity/Unreal Engine
  • Experience with art production pipelines and workflows for game development
  • Experience with version control systems, such as P4, Git, or SVN
  • Experience with multiple game genres and platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Fluent in English

Senior Technical Artist, Games Studio (Blue) at Netflix

We’re looking for a creative, highly-skilled Senior Technical Artist to help us build a brand-new, AAA, multi-platform game.

As our Senior Technical Artist, you will help bridge the gap between art and engineering. You will collaborate with studio leaders and directors in art and engineering to define workflows that support and optimize the creation of art assets. Throughout the development process, you will also contribute to shader authoring as well as performance evaluation and optimization.

We're building the foundation for a small, but ambitious, team of creators whose primary goal is to create a game experience that our players want to repeatedly come back to; and as our Senior Technical Artist, you will be able to create, ship, and run a game without any competing design constraints due to monetization.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing and shipping one or more titles as a Technical Artist or a similar role
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine and familiarity with Lumen, Nanite
  • Good understanding of shaders and Unreal Enginel’s Material Editor
  • Comfortable evaluating game performance and optimizing with Renderdoc or similar tools
  • Familiarity with the procedural content generation with Houdini, Unreal PCG, or similar
  • Expertise in Python and/or C++
  • Strong understanding of game engines and art integration pipelines
  • Ability to find creative solutions for technically challenging tasks
  • Collaborate with teams from various disciplines

Gameplay Programmer at Climax Studios

UI Programmer (Mid to Senior) at id Software

id Software is looking for a UI Programmer to join our team on-site in our Richardson, TX studio to work on legendary id games. We are looking for people who are passionate about games and want to make the best-in-class UI experience for players. You must have excellent problem-solving and communication skills and a desire to be a part of a fast-paced and creative team.
